The VRtheCHEF initiative aims to address two pressing global issues: climate change and the digital evolution of education.

Given that food production is responsible for around 30% of worldwide greenhouse gas emissions, the initiative highlights the necessity for a sustainable shift in the culinary field by advocating for eco-friendly habits, minimizing food waste, and promoting environmentally-conscious methods in kitchens. Concurrently, it recognizes the increasing significance of digital technologies in vocational training, particularly through VR applications that enable students to learn safely, sustainably, and at their own convenience.

By merging ecological accountability with cutting-edge digital learning strategies, VRtheCHEF plays a vital role in combating climate change while enhancing vocational education in alignment with the green and digital policies established by the EU.
